Chilime Seti Hydropower Company

Chilime Seti Hydropower Company Limited (CSHC) was established on August 18, 2022, as a subsidiary of Chilime Hydropower Company Limited. The main promoter, Chilime Hydropower Company Limited is primarily owned by Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA), holding a substantial 51% share. CSHC was formed to develop the Hydroelectric Projects. The Corporate Office is in Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Kapan Marga, Kathmandu District, Nepal. CSHC is actively engaged in developing the Seti Nadi-3 Hydroelectric Project (SN3HEP) with 87 MW capacity which is located in the Jayaprithivi Municipality of Bajhang district of Sudurpashchim Province.

Seti Nadi – 3 is a peaking runoff river-type project. The project’s financing structure involves both debt and equity. Currently, the company is in the process of concluding financial closure to manage the necessary debt for the project.

The Department of Electricity Development (DoED) provided a survey license in fiscal years 2074/075 and the company applied for the Generation License upon completing a detailed feasibility study.

Promoter Share: Chilime Hydropower Company Limited holds 41% of the promoter share, including 5% allocated to the Sudurpaschhim Provincial Government and 5% to the Local Level of Bajhang district. Once confirmed, CSHC will release these shares accordingly. NEA holds the remaining 10% promoter share.

Public Share: The public share portion constitutes 49%, which will be distributed 33% to the general public, 10% to the project-affected local people, 3% to the transmission line-affected individuals, and 3% to the CSHC employees.

Note: This Hydroelectric Project is under Janatako Jalvidhyut Karyakram of the Government of Nepal (GoN). Share structure is as per the guidelines of Janata ko Jalavidhyut Karyakram.
